Setting up PayPal feeds in Pandle

To get started click 'Banking' in the Pandle navigation bar, and then select 'Bank Accounts' from the menu.

Click the 'Add New Bank Account' button on your Banking screen.

Use the pop-up entry window to enter the details of how your new account will display in Pandle.

If you include 'PayPal' in the account name, Pandle will automatically select the correct category code, currency, and entry method for you.

Then click 'Connect PayPal Account'.

A pop-up notification window will ask for confirmation that you want to leave Pandle to continue connecting your PayPal account. Click 'Yes' to continue, or 'No' to return to the Enter Transactions screen.

Log in to your PayPal account to approve your Pandle feed.

Once approved, you will return to Pandle. The on-screen prompt will ask you to confirm the start date to pull transactions from.

Your PayPal transactions from that date onwards will be automatically loaded into Pandle.

The process for checking and confirming your PayPal feed transactions works in the same way as categorising bank transactions entered through a bank feeds.

What about multiple currencies in PayPal?

Pandle automatically detects the currencies you use in your PayPal account, and will automatically create 'sub-accounts' (a bit like creating a new bank account in Pandle) for each currency it detects.

Any transfers that you make between sub-accounts will be automatically categorised by Pandle to help you minimise data entry time and reduce the risk of errors.

Can I accept PayPal payments through my invoicing in Pandle?

This has not been developed yet but we are working on it. and hope to have it released shortly.

What if I already had a PayPal account in Pandle?

It's not currently possible to change an existing bank account's entry method to PayPal Feeds. If you already have a For previous PayPal bank accounts you can either:

  1. Bulk edit all transactions in that account to be contained in the new PayPal account you have created, or;

  2. Create your new PayPal account in Pandle using the process above, and then transfer the balance from the original PayPal account to your new one. For example, if you had £100 in the old account, process a Money Out transaction for £100, and set the category as the new PayPal account.
