What are Projects?

Pandle Projects means that businesses can tag transactions to specific projects, helping them to monitor and report on particular jobs more easily.

For example, a wedding planning business could tag transactions to each wedding they plan. By doing this, the business can report on the income, expenses, profitability and cash flow of each wedding.

This can offer valuable insights into how each wedding performed financially for the planning business, which can lead to decisions being made to improve the performance of future projects.

Tagging expenses according to each project can also help you make sure that you don't end up being out-of-pocket, and that customers reimburse you correctly.

Enable the Projects feature

To keep things simple, Pandle uses dynamic menus. This means that you won't see some features in your Pandle menu unless you enable them for your account.

To turn on Pandle's Projects feature, click 'Settings' in the navigation bar, and select 'Company Settings'.

Select the 'Financial Info' tab.

Then click the box next to 'Does the business use projects?' so that a tick mark appears.

Scroll down and click 'Update Company' to save your changes.

Create a new project

Once the Projects feature is enabled, you can create new projects to help you manage clients or jobs.

Click 'Tools' in the navigation bar, and select 'Projects' from the dropdown menu.

Then on the 'Projects' screen, click 'Add New Project'.

Enter the project's details into the 'New Project' pop-up window, and click 'Save Project'.

Tag projects in customer invoices

Create an invoice for a customer, and tag existing projects or create new ones on the fly, without losing existing progress on your invoicing.

Enter the project information into the pop-up window, and click 'Save Project' to return to the invoice.

Tag projects in supplier invoices

Enter the project information into the pop-up window, and click 'Save Project' to return to the invoice.

Link bank transactions to a project

Enter your banking transactions, and tag them to relevant projects. Click the dropdown menu under the 'Projects' column, and select an existing project from the list.

Or open the dropdown menu and click 'Add New' to quickly create a new project profile without losing your progress.

Enter the project information into the pop-up window, and click 'Save Project' to return to your banking.

Financial reporting for projects

View your projects to manage and report on project spending at any point.

Click 'Tools' in the navigation bar, and select 'Projects' from the dropdown menu.
