Pandle has a number of financial reports which automatically update each time you enter or amend transactions in Pandle, so you can easily see what is happening in your business. The reporting functions available in Pandle are:

Profit and Loss

Balance Sheet

Trial Balance

Cash Flow

Receivables

Payables

VAT Returns (if your business is VAT registered)

EC Sales List

You can also export other information, such as your customers, or a list of transactions for a particular date range, from the reports page.

To access the Reports tool in Pandle, click 'Reports' in the navigation menu. Then select from the most popular reporting tools in the dropdown menu, or click 'All Reports' to see everything on the reports page.

Profit and Loss

This is useful for seeing how much profit your business is making in any given date range. Profit and loss reports can help you make business decisions and will highlight any areas of spending that could be cut back.

For instance, if you are making a lot of sales, but you are still running at a loss, this could indicate that you need to make changes to your costs.

Select 'Profit and Loss' from the list of reports available.

Select the date range that you would like the report period to cover, and click the refresh icon to update the information shown.

To export your report from Pandle, click the Excel icon to download it as .CSV file, or the 'View PDF' icon to create a pdf document of your report.

Balance Sheet

This report shows a snapshot of your financial position for any given point in time. Here you can see your assets, liabilities, and remaining equity in the business.

Select 'Balance Sheet' from the list of available reports.

Select the date of your report, and click the refresh icon to update it. To export your report from Pandle, click the Excel icon to download it as .CSV file, or the 'View PDF' icon to create a pdf document of your report.

Trial Balance

The trial balance report displays your category balances for any given date range. This will be useful for your accountant, as it will help them complete your end of year accounts and tax return.

Select 'Trial Balance' from the list of available reports.

Select the date range that you would like the report period to cover, and click the refresh icon to update the information shown.

Cash Flow

This report provides a detailed overview of the money coming in and going out of your accounts. Select 'Cash Flow' from the list of available reports.

Select the date range that you would like the report period to cover, and click the refresh icon to update the information shown. You can also select which bank accounts are included in your cash flow report.

If you are a Pandle Pro user you will see a cash flow projection report, enabling you to set future cash flow goals and view trends in your cash flow, leading to better, more informed business decisions.

Receivables

This report shows a breakdown of the amounts which customers owe to you. This can be broken down by invoice and amount of time overdue.

Select 'Receivables' from the list of available reports.

Select the report date to view customers who had a balance in Pandle on that date. You can also export the data to a .CSV file, or as a pdf.

Payables

The payables report is similar to receivables, but instead of dealing with customers it displays the amounts you owe to your suppliers.

Select 'Payables' from the list of available reports.

Select the report date to view suppliers who had a balance in Pandle on that date. You can also export the data to a .CSV file, or as a pdf.

VAT Returns

This quarterly report will calculate the amount of VAT owed to HMRC, or owed to you from HMRC. From this report you will also be able to submit your VAT returns to HMRC directly from Pandle.

EC Sales Lists

This quarterly report will calculate your EC sales list from all the invoices you have raised for EU customers who are zero-rated for VAT. From this report you can also submit your EC sales list directly to HMRC.

Select 'EC Sales Lists' from the list of available reports.

Important: As EC Sales Lists are no longer required for GB businesses (England, Wales, Scotland), it will not be possible to create EC Sales lists for the period starting 1st January 2021 onwards.

If this applies to you, you will see an error message if you try to create a report.

Businesses in Northern Ireland may still produce EC Sales Lists, but only containing transactions with EG tax codes. Click the 'Add new EC sales list' button to start.

Enter the start date and end date of the time period for the report, and click 'Create EC Sales List' to confirm, or 'Cancel' to go back. Your reporting quarters should fall in line with the calendar year.
